Financial Controller

About the role

Join our team as a Financial Controller and make a meaningful impact across multiple brands by ensuring high‑quality financial reporting, compliance, and analytical support. You will work within the Finance team handling Commerce, Operations, Real Estate and Tax controlling tasks for Ahold Delhaize.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Ahold Delhaize reporting and financial controlling policies.
• Ensure alignment of EU policies, procedures and accounting regulations with local requirements.
• Plan, prepare and oversee the monthly reporting process, consolidating data across organizational levels.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, update policies as regulations change, and upload reporting packages into the EPM system.
• Prepare, analyse and sign off accounts, review errors, post corrections and approve non‑standard journal entries.
• Produce analyses of financial results, business developments and variance explanations.
• Standardise and automate financial reporting processes to meet Group policies.

Required profile

• VI or VII level education in Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial controlling or a similar role; audit experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent command of English and proficiency with MS Office.
• Effective communication skills for advising business stakeholders.
