Freight Forwarder / Road Transport Dispatcher – International FTL Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder / Road Transport Dispatcher to own and manage international Full‑Truck‑Load (FTL) shipments across Europe. The role combines commercial negotiation, carrier management, and end‑to‑end shipment monitoring to deliver profitable transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Organise 60–70 FTL shipments per month on European lanes such as Germany↔France, Italy↔Germany/Austria/France, Spain→Slovakia, etc.
• Manage a monthly turnover of €80,000–110,000 while targeting a margin of 9–13%.
• Source, select and negotiate rates with carriers using freight exchanges (Timocom, Teleroute) and maintain carrier relationships.
• Negotiate rates and payment terms with clients, ensuring accurate documentation (CMRs, transport orders, invoices).
• Monitor shipments from loading to delivery, reacting swiftly to delays, cancellations or operational issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of client and carrier rates, margins and references.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years of experience in freight forwarding, road transport organisation or dispatching, preferably in international FTL.
• Fluent business English (spoken and written).
• Strong understanding of the European road freight market and commercial margins.
• Experience handling CMRs, transport orders and standard freight documentation.
• Ability to work independently, make quick decisions and stay calm under pressure.
