Fullstack QA Engineer (Fintech Banking)

About the role

A banking team building mobile banking apps on shared backend APIs is looking for an experienced Fullstack QA Engineer with a background in fintech, banking or other finance products. You will test both mobile apps and backend services by hand and help build test automation for APIs and mobile apps. The products handle real money (cards, transfers, payments), so quality is critical.

Key responsibilities

• Test new features and run regression for iOS and Android apps
• Test backend APIs and integrations: requests, responses and logs
• Design and maintain test cases and checklists in TestRail
• Build, maintain and run automated API tests with Postman and Newman in GitLab CI
• Maintain and extend the existing Java / REST Assured API test framework (TestRail integration, Allure reporting)
• Contribute to mobile UI test automation for iOS and Android, with developers in native test suites or cross-platform tools, focused on end-to-end checks against the real backend
• Prepare test data and test accounts for automated and manual runs
• Help evolve the test automation approach and tooling
• Clarify requirements directly with developers and product managers, since there are no business analysts
• Take part in release checks (release candidate testing, post-release smoke) and help improve QA processes
• Use AI tools to speed up work and verify what they produce

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments or other finance-related products
• Solid test design skills: writing test cases and checklists from short task descriptions
• Hands-on experience testing mobile apps on iOS and Android (TestFlight / Firebase builds)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude; readiness to test manually (not a pure automation role)
• Russian, native

Required skills

• HTTP, REST, status codes and authorization
• API test automation in code (Java or Kotlin preferred), Postman/Newman scripts, environments and collections, and CI runs
• Proxy tools such as Charles or Proxyman
• Using logs to localise bugs
• Nice to have: building test automation from scratch, GitLab CI, basic SQL, Appium / Espresso / XCUITest, feature flags

• Fully remote work, Monday to Friday, about 10:00/11:00 to 18:00/19:00 Moscow/Cyprus time
• Service agreement with a Cyprus or Kazakhstan-based company and a fixed monthly salary in euros
