Junior Accounts Receivable Associate

About the role

HeadQuarters, a global start‑up supporting US cannabis companies, is looking for a motivated Junior Accounts Receivable Associate. The position offers hands‑on training for the first 2‑4 months, after which you will take ownership of day‑to‑day AR activities for assigned clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support the AR team with invoice follow‑ups, payment tracking, and account analysis.
• Review aging reports, identify overdue balances, and assist in resolution.
• Communicate with clients about invoices, payments, and outstanding balances once assigned.
• Learn and follow client‑specific SOPs, processes, and financial systems.
• Maintain accurate records of AR activities and document discrepancies.
• Prioritize tasks based on urgency, business impact, and client needs.
• Adapt to different client processes, tools, and systems as the business evolves.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Motivated, organized, and eager to learn new processes and systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online (QBO), ERP or CRM systems (plus).
