Lead Mechanical Architecture Engineer

About the role

Grundfos is looking for a Lead Architect to own the mechanical architecture of its pump and water‑technology product platforms. You will bridge product development and manufacturing, ensuring that designs are production‑ready, cost‑effective and scalable across the company’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain mechanical architecture standards for all product platforms.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Architects, Chief Engineers and Module Owners to improve producibility and reduce costs.
• Align mechanical designs with global supply‑chain and operations strategies.
• Guide DP and NEI projects to ensure compliance with platform principles.
• Work with IT/OT teams to embed digital manufacturing requirements into the architecture.
• Support manufacturing optimisation and standardisation initiatives through architectural expertise.

Required profile

• Mechanical engineering degree (BSc or MSc) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product architecture or manufacturing engineering.
• Proven ability to work across product development, manufacturing and supply‑chain functions in a global environment.
• Strong systems‑oriented mindset with excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills.
