Main Coordinator – Belgrade Metro Project

About the role

The Main Coordinator will support the Belgrade Metro Project by ensuring effective communication, coordination and administrative delivery between the client, Serbian stakeholders, contractors and the PMC team. The role involves keeping project workflows, documentation and reporting processes structured, timely and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison among the client, Serbian entities, contractors, supervision authorities and the PMC project team.
• Support the Project Manager and team members in daily coordination and handling urgent matters from external parties.
• Prepare, review and distribute project documents, correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, invitations and presentations in English and Serbian.
• Coordinate document control activities, including numbering, archiving, filing, tracking, retrieval and quality checks.
• Monitor deliverables, drawings, reports and correspondence to ensure deadlines and follow‑up actions are tracked.
• Attend design meetings and workshops, collect information and prepare follow‑up communication for participants.
• Prepare and update monthly reports, status overviews, tracking records and project filing systems.
• Support smooth project progress and occasionally deputise for the PMC Project Manager.

Required profile

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, Railway Engineering or a comparable field.
• At least seven years of experience managing large infrastructure or construction projects, preferably in railway, metro or transport sectors.
• Experience coordinating multiple parallel railway infrastructure construction projects and supervision.
• Knowledge of the railway transport market in Serbia and the wider region.
• Experience with project management under FIDIC contract conditions is desirable.
• Relevant licences issued by the Chamber of Engineers are an advantage.
