Mid-level Cloud Developer – AI Integrations

About the role

As a Medior Cloud Developer you will join Bosch Engineering Center’s AI integration platform team. You will design and deliver cloud‑native backend services that connect large language models to internal business systems, enabling secure, policy‑driven AI assistants for thousands of enterprise users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend microservices and implement authentication, request routing, and protocol orchestration.
• Contribute to a shared SDK used across multiple servers within the organization.
• Build and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure using GitOps, modern messaging systems and service meshes.
• Create integration servers that connect AI assistants to major business platforms and enterprise APIs.
• Implement robust security flows, including policy evaluation and secret management.
• Ensure observability through structured logging, metrics and distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry).
• Design tool interfaces for LLM consumption and optimise protocol interactions.
• Take full ownership from code to production while fostering a security‑first mindset.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience building production backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with experience designing REST APIs and event‑driven interfaces.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Solid practice in Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (unit, integration, contract).
• Good understanding of cloud fundamentals such as networking, load balancing, TLS/mTLS, identity and secret management.
• Practical knowledge of observability tools – structured logging, metrics and tracing.
• Interest in AI/LLM technologies and their enterprise integration patterns.
