Operations Manager – Supply Chain & Logistics

About the role

We’re searching for an experienced Operations Manager who thrives in the fast‑paced world of logistics and supply chain management. In this role you’ll combine leadership, process optimisation and client focus to keep everything running smoothly, from documentation to on‑time deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and organise daily activities across teams (documentation, freight, audits).
• Monitor team performance, set goals and ensure high service levels.
• Maintain seamless material and information flow, solving issues before they become problems.
• Manage logistics service providers and build strong vendor relationships.
• Develop and update SOPs to match client and company standards.
• Act as the main escalation point for stakeholders, resolving challenges quickly.
• Prepare reports, improvement plans and project updates for management and clients.
• Coach, mentor and onboard new team members to grow a strong team.

Required profile

• Degree in Transport & Traffic Engineering, Economics, Organizational Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in logistics/transport operations.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and vendor management.
• Proven track record as a team leader with mentoring skills.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive, solutions‑driven approach.
• Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written); German is a plus; strong MS Office skills.
