Prime Contracts Manager – Balkans

About the role

The Prime Contracts Manager will support the Project Director in administering the prime contract between the client and Bechtel. This position reports operationally to the Project Director and functionally to the GBU Manager of Prime Contracts, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and effective commercial management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Prime Contract Management Program in line with the prime contract and Project Management Plan.
• Assess contract terms to identify risks, ambiguities, or conflicts and recommend mitigation actions.
• Coordinate with project team members to address client‑related actions, document events, and manage variations.
• Participate in project meetings, track actions, and maintain working relationships with relevant departments.
• Maintain tools and processes for contract compliance, including logs, registers, dashboards, and reports.
• Deliver ongoing training on prime contract management principles and support resolution of changes, variations, and claims.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of commercial and business management functions on large, complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering in collaborative arrangements and managing client contracts with similar commercial terms.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Experience mentoring less‑experienced team members.
