Project Director – Clinical Trials (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Director to lead full‑service clinical trial programmes in oncology. The role is fully remote and can be based in the UK, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Serbia or Slovakia. You will act as the primary liaison with clients, oversee trial execution, and support senior leadership in driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional service and participating in proposals and presentations.
• Oversee all phases of clinical research trials, ensuring consistency across portfolios and adherence to timelines.
• Guide project managers through project establishment, planning, procurement, execution and close‑out.
• Manage study budgets, identify out‑of‑scope activities early, and drive change orders.
• Monitor financial health, profitability, billable hours and accurate forecasting.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with proactive risk mitigation and change management.
• Ensure quality management, eTMF inspection readiness and implementation of corrective actions.
• Track metrics, prepare status updates for clients and senior management.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing global or large oncology clinical trials.
• Proven ability to act as a portfolio manager for multiple studies.
• Strong consultative approach and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and financial oversight skills.
