Repair Engineer – Powerplant Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Repair Engineer to join our Powerplant Engineering team at MTU Maintenance Serbia. The role involves planning, executing and supervising repair and overhaul activities for aircraft engines, ensuring compliance with technical standards and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan work sequences and operations according to maintenance, repair and overhaul procedures, considering ergonomic and production regulations.
• Monitor and update work plans in response to changes in documentation and process improvements.
• Coordinate audits, prepare and document First Member Inspection and Overhaul approvals with qualified inspectors.
• Analyze deviations, implement quality‑improvement actions and control product costs.
• Design and control resources, tools and costs for production activities.
• Support external approvals, process planning, inspection planning and work‑time management.
• Provide technical guidance to operational areas and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Lead internal and external audit follow‑up, corrective actions and project introductions.
• Assist in preparing offers, price lists and business cases for new equipment or processes.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in aircraft engine repair, maintenance or related industrial engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate processes and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with internal teams, auditors and external partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) procedures for powerplant systems.
• Familiarity with audit coordination and quality‑assurance processes.
• Ability to plan and control production resources and costs.
