Sales Manager & Owner's Assistant

About the role

The Sales Manager & Owner's Assistant is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Smederevo. You will oversee daily sales operations for a growing company that represents leading Spanish ceramic tile manufacturers, while also supporting the owner in administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop relationships with key customers, architects, and suppliers.
• Identify new business opportunities and support negotiations to close deals.
• Plan, execute, and monitor sales initiatives, preparing regular sales reports.
• Visit clients 1‑2 times per week to assess merchandising and recommend new tile models.
• Create pro‑formas and invoices in close collaboration with the accountant.
• Represent the company at ceramic tile fairs in Italy and Spain.
• Handle on‑site problem‑solving on the shop floor or in the office.

Required profile

• Strong customer relationship management with proven ability to build trust and close sales.
• Good understanding of sales processes, basic budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Organised, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Driving licence category B and an easy‑going temperament.
• Prior experience in retail, wholesale or commercial roles within building construction materials, especially ceramic tiles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office software (e.g., Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation.
