SAP Basis Administrator

About the role

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to provide L2 operational support for SAP ABAP and Java landscapes across development, test, training, and production environments. The role works within a 24x7, three‑shift model and requires strong analytical, communication, and incident‑resolution skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for SAP ABAP and Java systems, monitoring availability, stability and performance.
• Manage SAP Change and Transport System, transport promotion, job scheduling, printer administration and client copies.
• Plan and execute SAP upgrades, support‑package implementations, kernel upgrades and other lifecycle activities.
• Administer SAP Web Dispatcher, SSL, Single Sign‑On and certificate management.
• Administer and maintain SAP HANA databases – installation, configuration, monitoring, backup/recovery and performance tuning.
• Handle incident, problem, change and release management using ServiceNow and SPC.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (infrastructure, security, application) and contribute to documentation and best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in SAP Basis administration for both ABAP and Java environments.
• Proven experience supporting development, test, training and production landscapes.
• Strong analytical and root‑cause analysis capabilities with a customer‑centric mindset.
• Ability to work in a rotating three‑shift schedule and participate in technical bridge calls.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and multidisciplinary teams.
