Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join JFE Shoji Serbia, a leading producer of electrical steel cores for automotive and industrial motors. The professional will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain accounting controls, and support tax and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, balance sheets, profit & loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.
• Produce financial reports, cash‑flow projections and safeguard company assets.
• Handle corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing and related audit documentation.
• Manage payment processes, including preparation of payment instructions and internal controls.
• Analyse strategic business unit results, compare performance to plans and prior periods.
• Support monthly operating reports for management review.
• Participate in external financial audits and prepare related reports.
• Report on governmental incentives and ensure compliance with tax regulations and IFRS standards.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial and management accounting, preferably in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations and IFRS.
• Excellent strategic planning abilities and capacity to interact with all organisational levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with AB SoftPro.
• Electronic banking operations.
