Senior Accountant

About the role

Join the growing Global Business Centre in Nis and become part of an international accounting organisation that is expanding across Europe. As a Senior Accountant you will deliver high‑quality accounting services, support multiple entities and help drive the transformation and centralisation of finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex accounting postings in line with IFRS, local GAAP and company policies.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing processes accurately and on time.
• Prepare and analyse financial information for financial statements and management reporting.
• Maintain financial databases, ensure data integrity and support audit documentation.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and contribute to internal control improvements.
• Participate in finance projects, provide guidance on accounting matters and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• University degree (Level VI–VII) in Economics, Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS and local GAAP.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Positive attitude, ability to work under pressure and strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with SAP (advantageous).
