Senior Accountant

About the role

HYCU is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Belgrade. You will support a fast‑scaling SaaS business, working with global stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end vendor management, including selection, contract negotiation, invoice approval and issue resolution.
• Manage daily treasury activities such as cash‑flow monitoring, wire transfers, cash‑forecasting and banking relationships.
• Develop and enforce travel expense policies, review employee expense reports and provide guidance on reimbursement tools.
• Maintain the general ledger, perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations, and post journal entries, adjustments and accruals.
• Review accounting work prepared by outsourced firms to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
• Strong understanding of vendor management, treasury operations, and expense control.
• Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and external partners.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.

Required skills

• Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles.
• Familiarity with cash‑flow management and banking procedures.
• Experience reviewing vendor invoices and expense reports.
