Senior Category Manager, IT & Digital

About the role

Grundfos is looking for a Senior Category Manager to lead the global commercial strategy for its software portfolio. You will shape sourcing strategies, drive high‑value negotiations with major vendors and support the company’s digital transformation journey.

Key responsibilities

• Own global commercial responsibility for the software category, ensuring full visibility of renewals and timely execution.
• Lead high‑level negotiations and tender processes with major software manufacturers such as SAP, Adobe and other strategic vendors.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver savings, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation and improved payment terms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, acting as a trusted advisor on software sourcing.
• Drive software portfolio optimisation through licence optimisation, vendor consolidation and spend transparency.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably in a global organisation.
• Proven track record of leading complex, high‑value negotiations with major enterprise vendors.
• Strong analytical skills to assess spend structures, total cost of ownership and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders from operational teams to executive leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 days per year.
