Senior Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to design, install, secure and support network hardware and software across RivianVWG facilities and partner locations. The role combines hands‑on infrastructure engineering with a strong focus on end‑user support and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end network installation projects, from planning through execution, across multiple sites.
• Design, configure and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure using Cisco Nexus 9K switches, routers, access points and FortiGate firewalls.
• Manage enterprise security with Cisco ISE, DNA Center and FortiGate solutions.
• Establish and maintain site‑to‑site VPN tunnels with external vendors.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software and routing issues and act as escalation point.
• Prioritize support tickets based on business impact and provide mentorship to junior staff.
• Support hybrid cloud routing between on‑premises networks and AWS using Transit Gateway and related services.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in systems or network support within an enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel, including possible international trips.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching users.
