Site Reliability Engineer (I)

About the role

NCR Voyix, a global platform provider for unified commerce in shopping and dining, is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Site Reliability Engineer (I) to join its team in Belgrade, Serbia. The shift runs from 14h to 22h and the grade is P1. The engineer helps ensure the reliability, scalability and performance of critical systems, contributes to automating operational tasks, implements monitoring solutions and takes part in incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing and implementing monitoring, alerting and logging solutions for production systems.
• Take part in incident response, troubleshooting and resolution of production issues, working with development teams as needed.
• Contribute to automating operational tasks and workflows.
• Help maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software deployments.
• Analyse system performance, identify bottlenecks and propose optimisation solutions.
• Document operational procedures, runbooks and system configurations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to promote a culture of reliability and operational excellence.
• Learn and apply SRE best practices, tools and technologies.
• Participate in on-call rotations after training and ramp-up.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in the role or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Python, Go, Java, Bash).
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or the ELK stack is beneficial.
