Software Support Engineer I

About the role

Candescent is seeking a Software Support Engineer I to join its technical support team. You will be responsible for handling complex technical and functional inquiries related to Candescent’s banking platform, ensuring smooth operation for financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to routine and complex support tickets for platform and product issues.
• Escalate and follow‑up on problems requiring higher‑level expertise.
• Take ownership of critical events, perform technical analysis, and propose solutions.
• Research root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Analyze customer service and implementation issues and suggest improvements to applications, DPV interfaces, or internal processes.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of software technical support experience or equivalent education.
• General knowledge of Unix systems and SQL/Oracle databases.
• Experience with front‑end web technologies and JavaScript.
• Strong critical‑thinking and troubleshooting abilities in complex systems.
• Ability to diagnose issues through log review and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
