Storyboard Writer & Video Editor (Performance Ads)

About the role

We are seeking a performance‑driven Storyboard Writer and Video Editor who can craft high‑converting ad concepts for social media. The role focuses on creating detailed storyboards that translate directly into paid‑social ads, with editing used to refine or execute those concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Create performance‑focused storyboards for paid social ads, defining the full visual flow, including talking heads, B‑roll, actions, hooks, and on‑screen text.
• Specify precise actor directions and visual elements so the storyboard can be executed without additional guidance.
• Provide clear instructions to editors, including stock footage, AI‑generated assets, and motion graphics.
• Develop strong hooks, angles, and structures based on current winning ad patterns.
• Iterate concepts using performance data and creative feedback.
• Stay up‑to‑date with platform trends, formats, and direct‑response strategies.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, copywriters, and editors to improve campaign results.
• Edit ads when needed, using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and AI tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience storyboarding for ads, preferably with DTC brands or UGC formats.
• Strong understanding of performance marketing and direct‑response principles.
• Familiarity with core performance metrics such as hook rate, hold rate, and retention.
• Instinct for native platform storytelling and current ad trends.
• Comfortable using AI tools for avatars, voice, and generative video.
• Solid editing skills and ability to work quickly on multiple concepts.
• Excellent written English with a conversion‑focused mindset.
