Technical Recruiter – Engineering & Research (EMEA)

As a Recruiter you will be at the forefront of shaping the talent foundation that fuels our growth. This is not a traditional recruiting role – we need a builder with strong technical grounding and a passion for sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑cycle recruitment for engineering and research roles across EMEA, focusing on AI and infrastructure.
• Build outbound pipelines through advanced research, talent mapping across frontier labs and academia, referrals, AI‑assisted automation, and creative outreach.
• Partner with hiring managers and engineers to calibrate profiles with accuracy and raise the hiring bar.
• Act as the candidate’s first introduction to Perplexity, delivering an authentic story about our mission, product, and culture.
• Track and analyze pipeline data to continuously improve sourcing strategy and develop custom tooling when off‑the‑shelf solutions fall short.
• Operate with agility as priorities shift, handling hard‑to‑fill roles, new pillars, and compressed timelines.

Required profile

• 4+ years of full‑cycle technical recruiting experience.
• Proven sourcing‑first track record, filling hard roles through outbound and talent mapping.
• Strong technical literacy, able to hold credible conversations with senior engineers.
• Builder’s instinct for AI – eager to adopt new tools, automate workflows, and experiment with AI‑driven recruiting.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with candidates, hiring managers, and cross‑functional partners.
• Curious, iterative mindset aligned with Perplexity’s ethos of building what has never been built before.
