Therapeutic Area Specialist – Oncology

About the role

Join a leading pharmaceutical company as a Therapeutic Area Specialist in Oncology. You will be the primary scientific interface for on‑label conversations with healthcare professionals, promoting Merck’s licensed oncology portfolio while ensuring compliance with medical independence and promotional guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑label scientific discussions with oncology HCPs.
• Coordinate internal resources to deliver impactful, compliant customer engagements.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers on on‑label activities.
• Address customer inquiries and requests within the scope of approved products.
• Collaborate closely with Medical Science Experts and Medical Advisors for independent medical judgement.
• Participate in account planning and cross‑functional execution of strategic plans.
• Utilise hybrid engagement methods, combining face‑to‑face, email, and video calls.

Required profile

• University degree in Medicine, Dentistry or Pharmacy.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar pharmaceutical role.
• Fluent English and good knowledge of the Serbian market and customers.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• General internet navigation and computer literacy.
• Experience using call reporting software (preferred).
