Accounts Payable Assistant – 2 Year Contract

About the role

We are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant for our Shared Service Center in New Belgrade. The role is part of the Gate Gourmet SSC Finance Team and is responsible for processing vendor invoices efficiently, accurately and in compliance with accounting and VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process cost‑of‑sales and non‑inventory invoices in SAP, matching them to purchase orders and deliveries.
• Code, distribute and approve invoices using the automated invoice approval system.
• Follow up invoice and purchase‑order queries with internal and external stakeholders.
• Validate, create and upload domestic and international payment runs to the bank.
• Maintain the AP ledger, perform monthly reconciliations and manage vendor account statements.
• Update pre‑payment schedules, GRNI reconciliations and month‑end accruals as required.
• Manage the AP central mailbox, ensuring vendor communications are addressed within 24‑48 hours.
• Support KPI reporting, audit queries and ad‑hoc AP tasks.

Required profile

• Preferably a university degree; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Demonstrable experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
• Experience handling foreign currencies and VAT calculations.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); German is desirable.
• Legal right to live and work in Serbia.
