Area Sales Manager – Balkan Region (Control Valves)

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead sales activities for the Power and Nuclear sectors across the Balkan region, focusing on control valves. The role involves managing agents and distributors, reactivating dormant plants, and replacing competitor products with the company's solutions. Candidates should be based in Serbia or Greece, but other Balkan countries are considered.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve agreed budget targets and annual sales KPIs.
• Develop strong customer relationships and identify problems solved by company products.
• Visit customers and agents 3–4 days per week to support sales activities.
• Manage sub‑regional agent strategy to drive additional sales.
• Support business growth within and beyond the assigned area.
• Drive portfolio selling across the company's product range.
• Activate dormant plants and replace competitor products.
• Ensure compliance with all company processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Engineering or commercial degree (Economics, Business Development, MBA/BA).
• Minimum 3 years experience in industrial technical sales, preferably in valve applications or engineered‑to‑order environments.
• Proven ability to travel extensively (minimum 80% travel) and work independently.
• Fluent English; additional Balkan languages (Serbo‑Croatian, Romanian, Bulgarian) are a plus.
• Structured, self‑driven, organized with a strong “walk the talk” mentality.
• Excellent listening skills to identify customer problems and develop solutions.
