Assistant – Contract Management

About the role

The Assistant – Contract Management supports AbbVie’s procurement and contracting processes, ensuring purchase orders and service agreements are created, approved, and documented in compliance with corporate policies. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and legal teams to maintain accurate contract records and facilitate timely execution.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase order (PO) requisitions, create PO’s and verify required auditable documentation.
• Identify and resolve vendor management issues, such as incorrect supplier selections.
• Review contract content to confirm proper requisition creation and approve or reject PO’s within delegated limits.
• Verify insurance certificates, diversity documentation, and CIA requirements, obtaining missing documents as needed.
• Manage change notice requests for PO’s and maintain compliance with corporate policies.
• Support preparation and execution of Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), Clinical Study Agreements (CSAs), budgets, and vendor agreements, including signature logistics and record keeping.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in contracting, outsourcing, or finance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and, if applicable, the local language.
• Significant administrative experience within an office environment.
