Assistant Editor – Scientific Publishing (Novi Sad)

About the role

MDPI is seeking an Assistant Editor to join its scientific publishing team in Novi Sad. You will support the editorial workflow for peer‑reviewed open‑access journals, ensuring high‑quality research is published efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the editorial process for manuscripts in your domain of expertise.
• Organise peer‑review evaluations and communicate decisions to authors and reviewers.
• Format manuscripts according to MDPI’s in‑house standards.
• Manage email correspondence among authors, reviewers, and editorial staff.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to meet tight publication deadlines.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a scientific discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Medicine, Engineering, Computer Sciences, etc.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
