Assistant Fund Controller

About the role

The Apex Group is seeking an Assistant Fund Controller to join its fund administration team. This position supports the preparation of fund financial statements, cash monitoring, and audit coordination while working in a collaborative office environment four days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and input daily journal entries.
• Produce fund financial statements, including footnotes and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate and support year‑end audits.
• Monitor and record daily cash activity.
• Prepare fund capital activity allocations and partner capital accounts.
• Track portfolio company transactions and calculate investment returns.
• Respond to various investor and investment requests.
• Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
• Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis and assist clients as required.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• University degree, preferably in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Audit.
• Exposure to the private equity industry is a plus.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated team player with the ability to multitask.
