Associate Director, Accounting

About the role

Precision for Medicine is seeking an Associate Director, Accounting to lead general ledger, treasury, and accounts payable functions across multiple business units and legal entities. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with US GAAP, and supports strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve journal entries, including complex GL adjustments.
• Oversee AP spend, cash flow forecasts, and treasury activities such as ACH and wire submissions.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations for payroll liabilities, ROU assets, fixed assets, intercompany accounts, insurance, and prepaid items.
• Prepare and consolidate corporate SGA budgets and forecasts, allocating costs to business units.
• Train and mentor accounting staff, maintain process documentation, and deliver bi‑annual training sessions.
• Integrate new acquisitions, monitor emerging US GAAP standards, and implement related controls.
• Establish internal controls to mitigate payment errors, duplicate payments, and fraud.
• Analyze vendor and customer spend, assess consolidation opportunities, and ensure consistent revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Review audit support materials before external audit submission.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in general ledger accounting, treasury, and accounts payable.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Proven ability to manage multiple legal entities and business units.
• Experience training and developing accounting teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and internal controls.
