Associate Director, HR PMO

About the role

Lead the HR Project Management function for a global life‑sciences services organization, overseeing portfolio governance, PMO operations and delivery performance. This senior position involves coaching a team, aligning initiatives with business priorities and driving consistent project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HR PMO portfolio oversight, resource allocation and capacity planning across HR initiatives.
• Maintain PMO governance, standards, methodologies, tools and operating rhythms.
• Partner with senior leadership to align portfolio plans with business and people priorities.
• Build project management capability, improve delivery consistency and drive strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance PMO effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in project, program, portfolio, HR or business operations leadership.
• Proven people‑leadership experience including coaching, performance management and workload planning.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and executive communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity and drive execution in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
• PMP certification preferred.
