Backend Engineer – C#/.NET Core

About the role

Fazi, a long‑standing iGaming technology provider, is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to strengthen its engineering team. You will design, build and optimise high‑performance server‑side services that support large‑scale, data‑intensive gaming platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Create new services and integrate them with existing platforms.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures and optimise Microsoft SQL Server performance.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications, services and databases.
• Build solutions capable of handling high transaction volumes and large data sets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents in live systems.
• Produce clean, testable, maintainable code and contribute to unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and help raise engineering standards.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, DevOps and other engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend or full‑stack development.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to make independent technical decisions and solve complex challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially in production environments.
