Business Controller

About the role

STIHL is seeking a Business Controller to support management decision‑making through financial planning, performance analysis, scenario modelling and clear recommendations. The role acts as a finance business partner, helping the company achieve its business and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support budgeting, forecasting and periodic reporting processes.
• Analyse financial and operational performance against targets, budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare financial models and scenarios to support business decisions.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to support planning and decision‑making.
• Prepare management reports and presentations that clearly communicate financial insights.
• Improve and standardise controlling processes, reporting tools and routines.
• Support strategic and operational projects and assist the Finance Manager with assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in business controlling, financial analysis or a related finance role.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and management reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial and business performance indicators.
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level).
• Experience in a commercial or international business environment is an advantage.

Required skills

• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
