C++ Software Engineer – Silicon One

About the role

We are developing firmware, SDKs, simulators and compilers for the Cisco Silicon One™ architecture. As a C++ Software Engineer you will join a globally distributed R&D team that creates cutting‑edge networking products used by world‑leading companies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and program software components in C++ for the Silicon One platform.
• Collaborate with application, hardware and ASIC design teams across multiple Cisco locations.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and bugs, devise and implement solutions.
• Maintain and upgrade software through regular maintenance and updates.
• Ensure code quality, organization and automation throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in software/hardware integration activities.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional C++ programming experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Technology or related field.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously with a high sense of responsibility.
• Good understanding of hardware operation and experience with Makefiles and Linux environments.
