Chief Accountant

About the role

As Chief Accountant you will ensure financial accuracy, compliance and transparency while supporting business performance for the Compressor Technique organization in Serbia. You will act as a trusted partner to management and collaborate with regional stakeholders and the Brno Hub.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily accounting operations, general ledger, purchase, sales and stock accounting in the ERP system.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting, tax and statutory regulations as well as Atlas Copco Group standards.
• Prepare timely financial reports, monitor cash flow, assets, inventories and receivables.
• Support forecasting, financial follow‑up and risk management together with Business Control.
• Maintain strong internal controls, support internal and external audits and improve accounting procedures.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Local certification to perform accounting activities.
• Fluency in Serbian and very good command of English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Serbian accounting, tax and fiscal regulations.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Experience with SAP (advantage).
