Cloud Developer – AI Integrations

About the role

As a Cloud Developer focusing on AI integrations, you will join Bosch Engineering Center to build and operate an enterprise AI integration platform that connects large language models with internal business systems. You will work on secure, policy‑driven AI assistant experiences used by thousands of employees across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend microservices handling authentication, request routing, and protocol orchestration.
• Contribute to a shared SDK used by multiple servers throughout the organization.
• Build and manage cloud‑native infrastructure using GitOps, modern messaging systems, and service meshes.
• Create integration servers that link AI assistants to major business platforms and enterprise APIs.
• Implement robust security and authentication flows, including policy evaluation and secret management.
• Ensure observability through instrumentation, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Design tool interfaces for LLM consumption and optimise protocol interactions.
• Take full ownership from code to production while maintaining a security‑first mindset.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience building production backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with experience designing REST APIs and async/event‑driven interfaces.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Solid practice in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing (unit, integration, contract).
• Understanding of cloud fundamentals such as networking, load balancing, TLS/mTLS, identity and secret management.
• Practical knowledge of observability tools – structured logging, metrics, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing.
• Curiosity about AI/LLM technologies and their enterprise applications.
• Bonus: experience with AI/LLM integration patterns (RAG, tool/function calling, MCP, agent frameworks) and message brokers like NATS/JetStream or Kafka.
