Cloud Engineer – Cloud Architecture & Operations

About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking a Cloud Engineer with hands‑on cloud experience to support, operate, and improve existing cloud architecture. The role focuses on applying cloud best practices, strengthening reliability and security, and contributing to day‑to‑day cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support, operate, and improve existing cloud infrastructure using best practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Improve reliability, monitoring, and alerting across platforms.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Partner with security to ensure environments meet enterprise security standards.
• Support application teams with services‑ and API‑based architectures.
• Document standards and best practices for cloud usage and infrastructure operations.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project teams, and support organizations.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with a cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with cloud networking (virtual networks, firewalls, connectivity).
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging across systems.
• Experience with services‑ or API‑based development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, agile environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of security fundamentals.
• Experience with hybrid cloud or on‑prem environments.
• Experience with .NET / C# or YAML pipelines.
• Experience working in Linux‑based environments.
• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience in the utilities and/or GIS domain.
• Azure certifications preferred.
