Commercial Policy Manager (US Shift)

About the role

Clarivate is looking for a Commercial Policy Manager to join its Academia & Government team in Belgrade. Working on the US shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM CET), you will support the commercial structuring of deals, develop tailored pricing and fee models, oversee discounting strategies and help implement new pricing approaches. You will act as a trusted commercial partner, guiding the Sales team through the quoting process and advising on effective pricing for each client segment. The role reports directly to the Manager, Commercial Policy.

Key responsibilities

• Support the commercial structuring of deals, develop bespoke fee structures, manage discounting within delegated authority and execute new pricing models
• Manage the approval process in line with corporate governance and the escalation matrix, including approval workflows in Salesforce, keeping a clear audit trail and action log
• Ensure compelling and accurate business cases are submitted for pricing approval
• Equip Sales with the right toolkit and guide them through the quoting process, removing commercial blockers
• Solve complex commercial issues and escalate non-standard pricing where senior sign-off is needed

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial deal support, pricing, finance or a related area, including SaaS or software pricing, pricing and approval reviews, and complex, multi-product deals
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in English
• Nice to have: experience in a complex, cross-functional matrix organization, communicating with audiences across levels and cultures, and making decisions with incomplete information
