Customer Demand Specialist

About the role

Responsible for supporting customers across the GSCS organisation, working closely with the Supply Chain Program Manager, Operations Manager, Sales and Asset teams to execute tactical engagements. The role includes managing the customer order backlog, preparing reports for local and corporate customers, and handling various administrative tasks linked to daily business.

Key responsibilities

• Complete weekly task lists in coordination with leaders and managers, prioritising workload.
• Handle day‑to‑day customer demand, proactively reviewing forecasts and exceptions.
• Create, maintain and manage customer demand data in SAP and third‑party systems, including purchase orders and scheduling agreements.
• Manage customer forecasts, address errors and take corrective actions.
• Review order backlog, resolve systemic blocks and support outbound shipments.
• Provide feedback to the Supply Chain/Program Manager on potential inability to meet immediate demand.
• Handle program exceptions such as blocks and export issues.
• Administer daily pricing updates, including expiring special prices and revalidation.
• Maintain electronic and hard‑copy records, adhering to global process and quality standards.
• Communicate product information accurately and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
• Participate in and contribute to operations meetings.

Required skills

• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Proficiency with SAP for demand management.
• Advanced Excel skills for forecasting and reporting.
