Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

The Customer Quality Engineer will act as the primary liaison for all customer‑related quality matters, ensuring swift resolution of complaints and continuous improvement of product quality. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to protect customer satisfaction and uphold automotive quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns, complaints, and related topics.
• Communicate and respond to customer claims via portals, meetings, and daily coordination.
• Lead root‑cause analysis using Ishikawa, 5 Why and other methodologies.
• Define and implement corrective and preventive actions with the Cross‑Functional Team and monitor their effectiveness.
• Track and report quality KPIs such as claims, PPM, COPQ, sorting activities, and escalation status.
• Support customer audits and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and other customer‑specific requirements.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Logistics and Quality teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare and maintain 8D reports, quality alerts, control plans and other documentation.
• Assist with customer visits, resident engineer activities and sorting tasks when required.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in customer quality within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality tools and methodologies.
• Good understanding of IATF 16949 standards and customer‑specific requirements.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
