Data Analyst – Hybrid (Belgrade/Novi Sad)

About the role

Daon's Data Analytics team is expanding from core Business Intelligence to more advanced analytics. The role will unlock internal data, supporting product and business leaders in strategic decision‑making for continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and maintain core business and SaaS product metrics, focusing on product usage, customer behaviour and revenue analytics.
• Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines for finance, product, sales and leadership reporting.
• Refactor dbt projects, streamline model structures and enhance semantic layers.
• Lead migration and cleanup of legacy data sources to reduce technical debt.
• Manage Snowflake environment, including access, cost controls and performance tuning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (any discipline) with strong academic performance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a data/analytics engineer, with at least one year using dbt in production.
• Proven ability to work independently, communicate findings to non‑technical stakeholders and maintain high data‑quality standards.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt.
• Experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse).
• Familiarity with AWS services, especially object storage.
• BI and visualisation tools such as Tableau.
• Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies for analytics workflows.
• Basic Python programming.
