Data Analyst – Hybrid in Belgrade/Novi Sad

About the role

Daon’s Data Analytics function is expanding from basic Business Intelligence to more complex data insights. The Data Analyst will help unlock internal data for product and business leaders, supporting strategic decisions for the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and maintain core business and SaaS product metrics, focusing on product usage, customer behaviour and revenue analytics.
• Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines for finance, product, sales and leadership reporting.
• Refactor and optimise dbt projects, streamline model structures and enhance semantic layers.
• Lead migration and cleanup of legacy data sources to reduce technical debt and improve reliability.
• Manage and optimise the Snowflake environment, including access, cost controls and performance tuning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) with strong academic performance.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a data/analytics engineer, with strong SQL skills and at least one year using dbt.
• Proven ability to work independently, communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and maintain high data‑quality standards.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL.
• dbt (production environments).
• Snowflake (data warehousing, RBAC).
• AWS services, especially object storage.
• Tableau for data visualisation.
• Python (preferred) and CI/CD methodologies.
