DevSecOps Team Lead

About the role

Deel is looking for a DevSecOps Team Lead to act as the bridge between Security, Operations, and Engineering. In this role you will lead a specialized team to build, scale, and maintain a "Security‑as‑Code" ecosystem that enables development teams to ship software faster and more securely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of DevSecOps engineers, conducting performance reviews and supporting career development.
• Define the DevSecOps strategy and multi‑quarter roadmap, aligning security initiatives with broader business and engineering goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Engineering and Product stakeholders, ensuring security requirements are integrated early.
• Provide automated guardrails, self‑service security tools, and expert architectural guidance to development teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and growing DevSecOps or security engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of Security‑as‑Code principles and how to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with engineering, product, and operations partners.
