Elevator Field Service Specialist – Technical Role

About the role

KONE is looking for a hands‑on Elevator Field Service Specialist to test and commission elevators across Serbia. The role is field‑based, requiring travel to installation sites to verify that each elevator meets safety, quality and performance standards before handover.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site testing and commissioning of elevators, ensuring compliance with EN81, the Lift Directive and local regulations.
• Collaborate with installation teams, project managers and site personnel to confirm readiness and safety.
• Conduct electrical safety checks, mechanical tests and record all measurements and findings.
• Prepare final inspection reports, snagging lists and support quality closure.
• Maintain a safe work environment for site personnel and the public during all testing activities.
• Participate in process‑improvement discussions and share feedback with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Practical, detail‑oriented mindset with a strong focus on safety.
• Ability to work closely with diverse on‑site roles such as Installation Supervisors and Project Managers.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within Serbia.
• Previous experience in elevator testing, commissioning or installation is a plus; full training is provided.
