English Editor – Academic Publishing (Full‑time, Novi Sad)

About the role

MDPI is seeking meticulous English Editors to support scholars in preparing peer‑reviewed papers for publication. The role is full‑time, based in Novi Sad, and offers in‑house training followed by opportunities to diversify within scientific publishing.

Key responsibilities

• Edit scholarly articles across diverse subjects to meet MDPI’s publication standards.
• Apply expert knowledge of English to ensure clarity, consistency, and grammatical accuracy while preserving the author’s voice.
• Ensure manuscripts comply with MDPI’s house rules and formatting guidelines.
• Meet tight deadlines and maintain high consistency in output.
• Participate in training colleagues and editing corporate materials as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Expert command of the English language.
• Experience in editing or translating.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently and within an international team.
• Desirable: professional experience in academic research or editing, master’s/PhD qualification, familiarity with LaTeX, office‑environment experience.
