Field Service Engineer (Serbia)

About the role

ZEISS is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join its Hardware Services team in Inđija, Serbia. You will travel across Serbia and neighboring SEE countries, providing on‑site technical support for high‑precision coordinate measuring machines and the Industrial Quality & Research portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Perform independent installations, preventive maintenance, repairs, and relocations of coordinate measuring machines.
• Conduct high‑accuracy measurements and performance tests using state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic tools.
• Implement modernisations and technical modifications on existing equipment.
• Develop and deliver technical solutions for complex customer requirements.
• Provide initial instruction and training to customers on device operation.
• Act as ZEISS’s trusted technical representative on customer sites, ensuring high satisfaction.

Required profile

• Technical background in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Precision Engineering or similar.
• Initial professional experience in technical field service is advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to precision.
• Excellent communication skills in Serbian and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) handling and maintenance.
• Use of diagnostic and measurement tools for performance testing.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP and SAP CRM systems.
