Finance Accounting Manager, Mining Industry

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Finance Accounting Manager to run the books for our Serbian subsidiary, split between Belgrade and Bor. Reporting to the headquarters finance team, you will be the sole finance representative on the ground, handling compliance, banking and tax matters locally.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle – general ledger, statutory bookkeeping, monthly close and all tax filings in strict compliance with Serbian regulations.
• Act as the local finance point of contact, using fluent Serbian to liaise with banks, tax authorities, auditors, vendors and internal teams.
• Control cash and payables, review and sign payment requests, contracts and expense claims, manage petty cash and treasury operations.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, perform monthly reconciliations, produce aging analyses and drive collection on overdue balances.
• Ensure audit readiness and zero compliance surprises by enforcing Serbian tax and accounting standards on every transaction.

Required profile

• Native‑level Serbian (spoken and written) with professional proficiency in English.
• Minimum 3 years of practical accounting experience, solid knowledge of Serbian tax law and local GAAP.
• Willingness to live and work in Bor, with occasional trips to Belgrade.
• Prior exposure to mining, heavy manufacturing, large‑scale state‑owned projects or multinational corporations is a strong plus.
