Financial Accounting Specialist – Serbia

About the role

The Finance & Accounting Specialist will establish and maintain compliant financial operations for BOGE’s newly created Serbian manufacturing entity. Acting as the local finance expert, the role ensures adherence to Serbian accounting, tax and regulatory requirements while aligning with the Group’s global finance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day accounting activities in SAP in accordance with Serbian accounting standards and statutory obligations.
• Prepare and validate journal entries, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Drive month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation and filing of statutory reports, tax returns, VAT declarations and other regulatory submissions.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local tax authorities, auditors and external advisors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, providing monthly performance analysis and variance explanations.
• Monitor operational costs, investments and spend against budget, delivering insights to plant management.
• Assist in the creation of management reports, KPI dashboards and other financial analyses.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Professional experience in Serbian accounting, tax and statutory compliance.
• Proven ability to work with SAP and apply IFRS principles.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
