Financial Analyst – Group M&A

About the role

Join gategroup as a Financial Analyst in the Group M&A team, supporting strategic decisions through rigorous financial and market analysis. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to uncover growth opportunities and assess potential M&A targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and market analyses to identify industry trends, growth opportunities, and competitive risks.
• Support research using Capital IQ, Bloomberg and other public data sources.
• Prepare management presentations, reports and regular updates on key market developments.
• Assist in the assessment of potential M&A and strategic opportunities through financial modelling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration (advanced degree or CFA/ACCA/CIMA a plus).
• Up to 4 years of experience in financial or business analysis, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, fluent in English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with Capital IQ, Bloomberg or similar research platforms.
• Ability to work with large datasets and transform data into actionable insights.
