Financial Analyst, Group M&A

About the role

Join gategroup as a Financial Analyst in the Group M&A team, supporting strategic decisions through rigorous financial and market analysis. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn complex data into actionable insights that drive growth and competitive advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and market analyses to identify industry trends, growth opportunities, and competitive risks.
• Support research using Capital IQ, Bloomberg and other public data sources.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather, analyse and interpret market and business data.
• Prepare management presentations, reports and regular updates on key market and business developments.
• Assist in the assessment of potential M&A and strategic opportunities through financial and market analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration (advanced degree or CFA/ACCA/CIMA a plus).
• Up to 4 years of experience in financial or business analysis, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Fluent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
• Financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with large datasets and data transformation.
• Familiarity with Capital IQ and Bloomberg platforms.
