HRIS Analyst – Workday Absence & HCM

About the role

The HRIS Analyst will support the configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of Workday Absence Management and core HCM modules. Working closely with HR, Legal and internal application teams, the analyst ensures that absence plans and employee data are accurate, compliant and aligned with company policy.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain absence plans, accrual policies and time‑off types in Workday.
• Support core HCM functions such as org management, job and position data, and business process configuration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and employee/manager inquiries related to absence and HCM.
• Partner with HR and Legal to translate policy changes into system configuration.
• Collaborate with internal application teams on data flows and downstream impacts.
• Assist with EIB data loads for balance adjustments and corrections.
• Participate in Workday bi‑annual release reviews and assess impact on absence and HCM functionality.
• Document configuration decisions, business processes and test scripts; support audits and exception reporting.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on Workday experience with Absence and HCM configurations.
• Proven ability to independently configure end‑to‑end absence and leave plans, including accrual logic and statutory requirements for European countries.
• Experience managing competing priorities and communicating clearly with non‑technical stakeholders.
